Valerie Carlier is based in Brussels, Belgium, overseeing the supply chain safety and quality aspects of Methanex Europe’s operations, including methanol storage and the loading and transportation to customers by various means of transport. She also provides HSE support related to logistics at Methanex’s production site in Damietta/Egypt and is the main HSE interface to Methanex’s business partners in the Middle East.
She has 14 years of experience in the chemical industry with various companies including Procter & Gamble, leading projects related to quality and safety standard implementation in chemical formulation and manufacturing processes.
Valerie is currently the chairman of the European Methanol REACH Consortium Technical Committee, established in 2008 by all key European Methanol market actors. She is also an active member of the Methanol Institute’s Product Stewardship Committee, in charge of advocating good practices at global level, and of the IMPCA Technical Committee, ensuring the Methanol quality specifications and measure methods remain at the highest standard for the entire industry.
