Mohammad Al-Shamary is presently leading EHS&S Department as a Global Responsible Care Director at EQUATE Petrochemical Company.
With an operational experience of over 27 years, Mohammad, a graduate in Chemical Engineering from Kuwait University, had contributed significantly in various capacities for the successful, safe and reliable operation of production facilities at PIC and EQUATE.
As a commissioning Engineer, he was involved in the commissioning and start-up of Ethylene-I plant at EQUATE right from its project stage. Later, as the director of all manufacturing representatives in Olefin II project, his contribution to ensure leveraging and high assets utilization for the greater EQUATE site as well as efforts to reduce the total installed cost needed for OL2K facilities has been widely acclaimed.
As a Production Leader for both Ethylene plants, he integrated both plants and brought them to maximum production safely and within boundaries, getting the maximum value by coordinating feedstock and equipment capacity.
His contribution as GRCD, significantly enhanced safety culture in the organization.
Mohammad, a person with strong leadership qualities, and is an excellent team player.
