Khalid Al-Mudaifer has been President and CEO of Ma’aden since 2011, leading the company as it grows into a world class integrated national mining champion serving global markets.
Mr. Al-Mudaifer has 30 years of industrial experience, including 23 years in the mining sector and 24 years in executive leadership. Khalid joined Ma’aden as VP for Phosphate and Business Development where he led the development of the Ma’aden Phosphate Company and the master planning and development of Ras Al Khair Industrial City.
Prior to joining Ma’aden, Mr. Mudaifer was Vice President and Director of Finance at the Eastern Petrochemical Company (Sharq/SABIC JV) and President of the Qassim Cement Company.
Khalid has held a number of board memberships with Qassim Cement and Saudi Arabian Railways, a number of social and government committees, boards and councils, and is currently on the Board of Gulf International Bank and Ma’aden.
Eng. Al-Mudaifer is also a board member of the International Fertilizer Association (IFA) and U.S.-Saudi Arabian Business Council’s (USSABC).
He holds an MBA and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from King Fahad University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM).
